Meet the Animals
Holly Star
Meet Holly Star, the prickly hedgie ball! Holly is an African Pygmy Hedgehog. She came to us after being rescued from a hoarding situation that had around 70 hedgehogs, many of which had not been cared for and had various health issues. Fortunately for Holly, she is in great health. She's a bit shy and is a little nervous if you move quick (we know that because hedgehogs roll up in a tight ball and hiss when they are threatened). However, after a few weeks of hand-training, she's warming up to us and getting less jumpy. Her favorite activities are to run through her tunnel and get mealworm treats. She is great with kids, enjoys some lap time and doesn't seem to care about other animals around her. When she comes out to play, she seems to only go potty in her tunnel, which is pretty convenient! Holly is currently in a 30-day monitoring hold and will be available for adoption soon! You are welcome to fill out an application in the meantime.

Endor & Hoth
Endor (gray) and Hoth (brown) are orphaned baby gerbil brothers! These two were orphaned at birth and hand-raised by humans so they are very comfortable with human interaction. Endor suffered a leg injury early in his life and had to be in a split for several weeks (which is of course chewed off several times), however he seems to be completely healed now! These boys are ready for adoption and would love a forever home!

Skittles & Snap Pea
These two are the best kind of love story! Skittles (white, female) and Snap Pea (brown, male) were both rescued - one as a stray and one as a drop-off abandonment. They arrived at the shelter and one of them escaped and went straight to the other's pen and they've been attached ever since. Skittles is the dominant, feisty one and Snap Pea's protector. They enjoy spending time at a veterinary school helping students prepare for their careers.
